What is the most important aspect or practice in your spiritual l

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 06, 2009:

What is the most important aspect or practice in your spiritual life?

I filled in the blank, because I care!
I love the fact that we create our lives, and on a day-to-day basis, recreate our entire body, based on what we think.
The power of intention, or attraction, should be a part of everyone's breakfast.
My knee, which was slammed into a dashboard in 1988 is better, because of these principles.
I can almost get along with running again.
Yeahhhh!

Daddy...... It hurts!!!

Posted on Aug 24th, 2009 by stanmanstu : Healer stanmanstu

A GOOD NAME IS MORE DESIRABLE THAN GREAT RICHES;  TO BE ESTEEMED IS BETTER THAN SILVER OR GOLD

> This is A TRUE STORY AND IF YOU DON'T PASS THIS ON YOU DON'T HAVE A SOUL!!!
>
> My name is Chris,
> I am three,
> My eyes are swollen.
> I cannot see.
>
> I must be stupid,
> I must be bad,
> What else could have made,
> My daddy so mad?
>
> I wish I were better,
> I wish I weren't ugly,
> Then maybe my mommy,
> Would still want to hug me.
>
> I can't do a wrong,
> I can't speak at all,
> Or else I'm locked up,
> All day long.
>
> When I'm awake,
> I'm all alone,
> The house is dark,
> My folks aren't home.
>
> When my mommy does come home,
> I'll try and be nice,
> So maybe I'll just get,
> One whipping tonight.
>
> I just heard a car,
> My daddy is back,
> From Charlie's bar
>
> I hear him curse,
> My name is called,
> I press myself,
> Against the wall.
>
> I try to hide,
> From his evil eyes,
> I'm so afraid now,
> I'm starting to cry.
>
> He finds me weeping,
> Calls me ugly words,
> He says its my fault,
> He suffers at work.
>
> He slaps and hits me,
> And yells at me more,
> I finally get free,
> And run to the door.
>
> He's already locked it,
> And I start to bawl,
> He takes me and throws me,
> Against the hard wall.
>
> I fall to the floor,
> With my bones nearly broken,
> And my daddy continues,
> With more bad words spoken.
>
> 'I'm sorry!', I scream,
> But it's now much to late,
> His face has been twisted,
> Into a unimaginable shape.
>
> The hurt and the pain,
> Again and again,
> O please God, have mercy!
> O please let it end!
>
> And he finally stops,
> And heads for the door,
> While I lay there motionless,
> Sprawled on the floor.
>
> My name is Chris,
> I am three,
> Tonight my daddy,
> Murdered me.
>
> And you can help,
> Sickens me to the soul,
> If you read this,
> and don't pass it on.
>
> I pray for your forgiveness,
> You would have to be,
> One heartless person,
> Not to be affected,
> By this Poem.
>
> And because you ARE affected,
> Do something about it!
> So all I ask you to do,
> Is pass this on!
>
> IF YOU ARE AGAINST CHILD ABUSE!
> Post this as 'Daddy ... it hurts'
>
> If you do not send this to everyone you know
> Then you obviously don't care about child abuse
..
> At first I thought this was just a chain letter
> and I wasn't going to send it either,
> but now I realize that this is an important situation.

> At least 5 children each day from around the world die from child abuse.

am i a fireman yet?

Posted on Feb 6th, 2009 by stanmanstu : Healer stanmanstu
This was sent to me by my sister today, and I just couldn't help, but share it with all of you. Enjoy, and try not to hold in the emotion. It will be way intense for you.

In Phoenix , Arizona , a 26-year-old mother stared down
at her 6 year old son, who was dying of terminal leukemia.
Although her heart was filled with sadness,
she also had a strong feeling of determination.
Like any parent, she wanted her son to grow up &
fulfill all his dreams. Now that was no longer possible..
The leukemia would see to that. But she still
wanted her son's dream to come true.
She took her son' s hand and asked,
'Billy, did you ever think about what you wanted
to be once you grew up?
Did you ever dream and wish what you would
do with your life?'
Mommy, 'I always wanted to be a fireman
when I grew up.'
Mom smiled back and said, 'Let's see if we can
make your wish come true.'
Later that day she went to her local fire
Department in Phoenix , A rizona , where she met
Fireman Bob, who had! a heart as big as Phoenix
She explained her son's final wish and
Asked if it might be possible
to give her 6 year-old son a ride around the block on a fire engine
Fireman Bob said, 'Look, we can do
better than that. If you'll have your son ready at
seven o'clock Wednesday morning, we'll make
him an honorary Fireman for the whole day.
He can come down to the fire station, eat with us,
go out on all the fire calls, the whole nine yards!
And if you'll give us his sizes, we'll get a real fire uniform
for him, with a real fire hat - not a toy -- one-with the emblem of the Phoenix Fire Department on it, a yellow slicker like we wear and rubber boots.'
'They're all manufactured right here in Phoenix ,
so we can get them fast.'
Three days later Fireman Bob picked up Billy,
dressed him in his uniform and escorted him from his hospital bed t o the waiting hook and ladder truck.
Billy got to sit on the back of the truck
and help steer it back to the fire station.
He was in heaven.
There were three fire calls in Phoenixthat day
and Billy got to go out on all three calls.
He rode in the different fire engines,
the Paramedic's' van,
and even the fire chief's car.
He was also videotaped for the
local news program.
Having his dream come true,
with all the love and attention that was lavished upon him, so deeply touched Billy, that he lived three months longer than any doctor thought possible.
One night all of his vital signs began to
drop dramatically and the head nurse, who believed
in the hospice concept - that no one should die alone, began to call the family members to the hospital.
Then she remembered the day Billy had spent
as a Fireman, so she called the Fire Chief and
asked if it would be possible to send a fireman
in uniform to the hospital to be with Billy as he made his transition.
The chief replied, 'We can do better than that.
We'll be there in five minutes.. Will you please do me a favor?
When you hear the sirens screaming and see the
lights flashing, will you announce over the
PA system that there is not a fire?'
'It's the department coming to see one of its finest members one more time. And will
you open the window to his room?'
About five minutes later a
hook and ladder truck arrived at the hospital and extended its ladder up to Billy's third floor open window--------
16 fire-fighters climbed up the ladder into Billy's room
With his mother's permission, they hugged him and held him and told him how much they LOVED him.
With
His dying breath,
Billy looked up at the fire chief and said,
'Chief, am I really a fireman now?'
'Billy, you are, and
The Head Chief,
Jesus, is holding your hand,' the chief said
With those words, Billy smiled and said,
'I know, He's
Been holding my hand all day, and
The angels have been
Singing..'
He closed his eyes one last time.
My
Instructions were to send this to at least four
People that I
Wanted God to bless and I picked you..
Please pass this to at
Least four people you
Want
To be blessed..
This
Story is powerful and there is nothing attached,
PLEASE
Do not break this pattern;
Uplifting stories are one of the best
Gifts we receive.
There is no cost, but a lot of rewards, let's
Continue to uplift one another~

What is the difference between knowledge and wisdom?

Posted on Jul 2nd, 2008 by stanmanstu : Healer stanmanstu
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for July 02, 2008:

Hyrum W Smith, founder and CEO of the Franklin Covey company, gave a talk one time. He said that 'knowledge is something you know, and that wisdom is knowledge, rightly applied.'

How do you respond to suffering?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for June 25, 2008:

I usually respond with empathy, understanding, and love. That is what Jesus taught. The other Masters I have studied have taught the same thing as well: Paramahansa Yogananda, Swami Rama, Deepak Chopra, Gandhi.......etc. You get the idea!

Table talk from Canyon view Chiropractic Newsletter june 2008

Rolflogo

Structural Integration, or ‘Rolfing,' uses Deep Tissue Massage to integrate the body in the gravitational field. Picture, in your mind, the body made up of blocks. What happens when those blocks are stacked wrong, or misaligned? The whole structure falls over, or there is stress where there shouldn't be. It is the same, with the human body.

Gravity can be a friend to us, but most of the time, it is the enemy. Look at the day to day lives we live, and you can see we place our selves in positions, all the time, where gravity is pushing on us in all the wrong places.

Ida P. Rolf, The founder of Structural Integration, Taught that the pelvis is the keystone of the body. If you remove the keystone from an arch, it will collapse. All ten of the sessions of Structural Integration I do here at Canyon View Chiropractic focus on horizontalizing the pelvis. You can see that the pelvis is a very important part of the blocks that make up the human body.

When the pelvis is misaligned, you can have numerous problems, including: weak ankles, bad knees, low back and neck pain, and a very hard time being comfortable in your body (I can attest to most of these problems, since I have had one or more of them through my own life).

Massage, stretching, and Chiropractic care are some of the greatest tools we have, now days, to combat this dreaded affliction. The curse of the misaligned pelvis need not be as tough to deal with, as we make it out to be. If a person had the 10 sessions of structural Integration, at least once in their life, saw the Chiropractor on a regular basis, and practiced Sun salutations every day, you could prevent most of these problems. (Sun Salutations are the first series of poses you learn in Yoga)

I hope this information is of some benefit to you. I know, for myself, by doing these things, I have done a pretty good job of keeping the negative effects of gravity at bay.

Using the Law of Attraction

Posted on May 28th, 2008 by stanmanstu : Healer stanmanstu

a while back I was going through the downs that life can bring. I remembered what the law of attraction says about creating our lives, and being stuck in the positive or negative we create. I think sometimes we get addicted to the life we create and then find it almost impossible to say we can and do deserve better. I finally realized this and then things started to change for the better. my highs are not as high and lows not too low now. (bipolar) I finally feel synchronisity, and a sence of level I haven't had for quite some time. hope this helps!

What are you drawn to in others?

I am mostly drawn to what others can teach me in this journey we call life. Everyone has a voice. Whether it is spoken or heard only by the spirit (as is often the case).
No matter where we are from or the color of our skin, we are all human and  the law of synchronicity is always at work. We are brought to the people whom we need to learn something from, or teach to them.
I used to have such a love for people, and have recently had a look at myself, and begun to have that unconditional love once again. My hope is that the world can have this same kind of love, one to another.
Peace!

What is currently bringing meaning to your life?

I feel my daughter Raina is what brings the most meaning in my life. All the decisions I make, now, are based on what would make her life better, because, in making her life better, I also improve my own.
Kids are the most beautiful part of life, and when there is harmony and friendship with a child of your own or any child, for that matter, it makes the world seem more alive.

Where do you want to go?

Maharishi_mahesh_yogi
I would like to take a very long and insightful jouney into my own soul; The seat of inteligence, life and creation. I would like to truly transcend this world for, but a short moment, on a daily basis. But, alas, I shirk my responsibilities to my soul, and do not do what I would like to.
